How to style the blue jeans white shirt look
What style of blue jeans will it be this time? Secretly I’m over the moon about flares coming back, especially those subtle bootcut jeans, they are so flattering! Lately, jeans have come in shorter lengths so we can flash a bit of ankle and wear comfy flats with them. One of my favourite styles since last year has been these raw hem side stripes that go by the name Carolyn Baby Boot by Veronica Beard.
What shirt are we styling this with? Any white shirt will do, promise. Since I wanted a fresh and boxy shape, I chose one of my trusty short-sleeved cotton shirts.
Shoes, shoes, shoes. My fave shoe style is the classic loafer. For this outfit I picked the black backless style. They look sophisticated with the raw hems, bringing them safely back towards the smarter end of the spectrum.
Accessories. I really love black with gold details, you’ll always find me wearing some of those. The Gucci logo belt and the gold tone detail of the shoes go really nicely with the basic combo, even with some silver tone hardware on the jeans and the hat. And yes, the hat, my minimal take on the bakerboy trend. Finally, the velvet choker is just a cute Nineties staple I still like to wear.
Need to cover up? Grab a black blazer, or a navy one in velvet, and you’re good to go.
